ApacheCon Session

Greg will talk about why a company may want to open-source some or all of the code that it develops. There are many benefits, ranging from third-party supporting products to generating good will to attracting potential hires. One of the more important decisions revolves around the license choice for the software. Greg will provide many of Google's experiences in opening some of its software, and will discuss why Google has chosen the Apache License for the majority of the software that it releases. He will outline various options and why each might be the right choice for your organization.
