Moving to Apache HTTP Server 2 at Yahoo!
Since 1996, Yahoo! has been running the Apache HTTP Server on thousands of servers, serving billions of requests a day. This session starts with a brief review of Apache 1.x at Yahoo! and the hacks we have done to it and continues with how we are transitioning to Apache 2.2 and what changes we have had to make to support our environment. This includes a review of how we are building, packaging, our runtime configuration method and how we build modules for Apache 2.2 at Yahoo!
