Special Events
ApacheCon’s Special Events bring the conference to life, and Atlanta will be no exception. The fun continues with stimulating receptions, lively presentations, thought-provoking Birds of a Feather sessions (BOFs), and quick-witted sessions such as the Lightning Talks.

LIGHTNING TALKS • Thursday, 15 November
Sponsored by Google
This lively session has become a fun and expected ApacheCon tradition! Thursday evening, after the day's sessions are done, we will gather in the main hall and the beer will flow. As a community, taking time to laugh together is as important as taking time to code together. The Lightning Talks are spontaneous and each year has its own unique highlights. Topics can be of any sort, as long as they relate to the ASF or to ASF projects. See you there!
FAST FEATHER TRACK • Thursday, 15 November
Sponsored by IONA
This track offers a sneak peek into proposed projects and podlings currently under incubation at the ASF Incubator and Labs. Catch 15-minute snapshots of new and promising code donations such as Sling, Tuscany, and UIMA in an interactive, informal presentation structure.
WI FI NETWORK AND ONLINE LOUNGE
Co-Sponsored by Cloudmark
ApacheCon provides a free Wi Fi network to all conference attendees. The network covers all presentation rooms and the expo area. In addition to the Wi Fi network, an Online Lounge is available to all conference attendees.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER SESSIONS are growing each year. To see what is being planned, go to the ApacheCon Wiki (on the Community Page) for the most up-to-date schedule. Also, if you want to submit a BOF, the Wiki is where you do that, as well.
Additional events will be posted on this page as they are confirmed.
