ApacheCon Session

This session will show how to use Eclipse IDE with WTP and Geronimo Eclipse plug-in for developing, deploying, testing and debugging Java EE 5.0 applications on Apache Geronimo. The following topics will be covered in this half-day tutorial: 1) Setting up the Eclipse IDE for Java EE 5.0 App Development on Geronimo, including starting/stopping of Geronimo server from within Eclipse. 2) Developing a simple Java EE 5.0 application (consisting of JSPs and Servlets, Session and Entity Beans) from scratch, and deploying and testing it on the Geronimo server. 3) Adding MDBs and WebServices into the above application using Eclipse WTP tools. 4) Debugging a simple Java EE 5.0 application using Eclipse, and 5) Importing an existing Java EE 5.0 application into Eclipse and creating the necessary deployment plans for deploying it onto the Geronimo server.
