Airport Shuttle Service

ApacheCon 2000 delegates are eligible for a discounted price on shuttle transportation between the Caribe Royale and the airport. The shuttle company is Mears Transportation, and delegates should receive a discount coupon in the mail after registering.

Hotel Facilities

The Caribe Royale Resort Suites and Villas is a modern hotel, built in 1996 and located about 25 minutes from the Orlando airport. There are two styles of sleeping rooms available: suites (US$189-259/night) and 'villas' (US$259/night). All telephones are 'data-capable.' The main hotel building includes a gift shop, business centre, restaurant, and bar.

Checkin time is 3:00 PM EST.
Checkout time is 11:00 AM EST.
Early checkins will be accommodated when possible. The hotel's Guest Services will provide luggage storage facilities.

These are special reduced rates for the ApacheCon 2000 conference. They are available from three days before through three days following the conference (5-13 March 2000).

Suites are single-bedroom/single-bath accommodations, and include a minibar and living area with chairs, tables, and a sleeper sofa. There are telephones in the living area and in the bedroom.

Villas include two separate bedrooms, two separate baths, and a common living area and kitchen, complete with stove, oven, refrigerator, and private laundry facilities. Each villa includes a screened balcony overlooking the swimming pool or lake. Both bedrooms and the living area are equipped with televisions and telephones. The price is the same per villa, regardless of occupancy; each villa can accommodate up to 8 persons.

Convention Facilities

The convention centre is on the grounds of the Caribe Royale resort, and is a brief (2 minute) walk from the hotel proper. Opened in 1998, it is fully wired for Internet access, with connectivity provided by multiple T1 leased lines, and provides state-of-the-art audiovisual support. There is a business centre in the same building as the conference rooms.

By purchasing your ticket 60 days or more prior to your departure date, you can receive an additional 5% bonus discount.
