Sri Lanka

Situated off the south-eastern cost shores of India in the Indian Ocean is referred to as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean”. With its sweeping hills, rainforests and sunny beaches, Sri Lanka is truly a land like no other. The climate varies from, low lands – tropical, average 27C, central hills – cooler, with temperatures dropping to 14C. The south-west monsoon brings rain to the western, southern and central regions from May to July, while the north-eastern monsoon occurs in the north and east in December and January. Sri Lanka has a pleasant climate for holiday-makers throughout the year. Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka and is an extremely cosmopolitan city.
