Armin Le Grand

Born in Nuernberg 1967, married, living in Hamburg since 1996.
Studied Computer Science in Oldenburg, Master Degree"Diplom-Informatiker (Dipl.-Inf.)" 1996.
Started early with computer graphics and ergonomy, thesis about an interactive stereoscopic 3D graphic system shown at CeBit 1995, various simulators.
Joined StarDivision 1995, quickly joined the graphics team and got responsible for the DrawingLayer component of StarOffice.
Continued in that area with all changes (Sun, Oracle), various projects, but main focus always on DrawingLayer.
Now working for IBM on Apache OpenOffice.
I began migrating DRawingLayer to a more modern base a long time ago (first results are AntiAliasing and enhanced interactions), the next big step (aw080) is in progress.
