Andrea Pescetti has been a volunteer in the OpenOffice project since 2003. Over the years, he has been involved in localization, quality assurance and minor development tasks. He was lead of the Italian Native-Language project from 2005 to 2011, when OpenOffice moved to the Apache Software Foundation and decided to adopt a flat hierarchy without subprojects.
Andrea became an Apache committer in November 2011 and is a frequent poster to the OpenOffice mailing list. He maintains the Italian dictionary for OpenOffice, used by derived projects too.
Andrea is involved as an independent volunteer in several free and open source software projects.
